Step 1: Using a volt meter, ensure that 5 VDC is coming from each GNSS Antenna Port on the unit
Step 2: Ensure that the moving base feature is off $JATT,MOVEBASE,NO
Step 3: Ensure that the physical antenna separation is measured correctly, within 2 cm
Step 4: Ensure that antenna separation is entered into the unit via screen or command $JATT,MSEP,X.XX
Step 5: Send the $JSAVE command
Step 6: Power cycle the unit and enable the heading command
If there is no voltage, then the port may be defective. If there is roughly 5VDC on both antenna ports, proceed with the following:
With Antenna 'A' and utilizing Antenna Wire 'A' connected to Port 'A' and Antenna 'B' to Port 'B' using Antenna Wire 'B'
Then, switch the antenna wires so that Antenna 'A' utilizing Antenna Wire 'A' is now connected to Port 'B' and that Antenna 'B' using Antenna Wire 'B' is now connected to Port 'A'
This should isolate whether there is an issue with the antenna or the port.
Now connect Antenna 'A' and utilizing Antenna Wire 'B' connected to Port 'A' and
Antenna 'B' utilizing Antenna Wire 'A' connected to Port 'B'
This will tell us if the problem follows the cable
